Update:  15 October 2006

The name goes on....

The following is a list of "Major" projects undertaken by

Roscoe (William R Tomlin), while updating his 1979 P35.

"If you were ever wondering how to tackle that project or how that 'thing' comes apart or just what it looks inside...then search through these fantastic project pictures (over 900 in all) to see how Roscoe did it.  I consider Roscoe the 'go to guy' for P35 modifications, and by the way...he's still going."

Hats off to you Roscoe and thanks for sharing your pictures with us!

The boat is a 1979 35' Pearson Hull # 458 and named Miss Annis, my Grandmother.  It was dismasted at the marina by a waterspout when the aft-port chain plate broke from what appeared electrolyses breakdown. This was the closest plate to the grounding plate on the bottom of the hull.

The update will include a nor-pro diesel Genset, a J R C radar-plotter, Oceanus radio, a new hand held G P S  and radio by Garman new paint top and bottom, new hoses all around. extra cockpit drains.  new fuel tanks in both port and starboard sail lockers since the Genset will be in the space of the old fuel tank. I also intend to build a stainless instrument box and panel for both the Genset as well as the Westerbeke instruments. the present location on the starboard locker is out of place and hard to see.

(Enclosed are many more projects that Roscoe has taken on.)

Oh By the way all chain plates will be removed and inspected and if need be replaced with new ones made from 316 stainless.  I have a machine shop so I will build my own.  I also hope to install a roller furling before it is put back in the
water.  I have also been looking at a new electric head.  However it is not at the top of the list since I already sprung for a new holding tank.  I intend to keep a photo log of all updates and repairs.
