Bow Sprit from Scratch

0001 All boards was rough cut teak and needed milling to acceptable size.
0006 First lay-up numbers was to keep boards in order for biscuit installation
0007 By cutting boards together insures length.
0008 thru bolt holes insure uniformity
0009 Ends rough sanded on long end" right in photo" Short boards on left being used as spacers.
0011 All boards receive Biscuits on 12 inch centers alternating from the end at 6 and 12 inches.
0012 Forward end with thru bolt hole, rough sanded.
0016 Starboard side fitted and glued.
0023 Starboard and port side with glue biscuits and clamps.
0025 Board for windless mount ,cross grain
0027 with board out of clamps the first sanding is compleated.0029 Edges rounded to control splentering.
0034 Carriage bolt for thru-bolting showing nut and countersink, a teak plug will later be turned and glued to fill hole.
0039 Finished and ready for accessories.
