The engine work was: Honed cylinders New valves and valve springs Sand blasted head to remove carbon build up Caustic washed bare block to clean out water passages New electronic ignition and coil Polished brass pieces New dripless packing box on prop shaft
I rebuild motorcycle engines so the A-4 was not tough at all. Anyone with some tools, time, and access to a machine shop (honing cylinders, checking bearing fits, etc.) can rebuild an A-4 for $600 - $800. - Ai |
