Skye is a recent purchase. Yes, it is named
after the Isle of Skye in the Inner Hebrides, Scotland. My former boat for
25 years was a Tartan 27 named Skye. Lots of clothes with Skye on them;
can't afford to change the name. I totally rebuilt that boat and expect to
do the same again. Moved up to do some serious cruising.
Skye is structurally excellent but needs all of the upgrading. I installed
a Lavac toilet and a Lectra San. I plan to add a holding tank to complete
the installation. I added a rub rail and structural supports for the
anchor sprit. Started upgrading the cooling system, fuel delivery system,
fresh water system. Project lists as long as both arms. I have two years
to complete and then I'll be paying you a visit in Florida.
Rock Hall is on the east shore, directly across from Baltimore. I'm
actually off the Chester River on Lankford Bay.
We were tacking on the Chester River while friends on a Morgan 44 shot a
roll of pictures. The lady at the helm is Dotty Royer and I'm handling the
sheets.
Thanks Has and Dotty. Looks like a nice November day to have that
1976 classic out. |
