After 1 year and three months cruising the Bahamas and the Caribbean Rose and crew are in Bimini. We are headed back to the keys. we will place Rose on the market for sale on our return. we are moving up to a cat and heading for panama.

If you know anyone looking for a very sweet P35 here she is. I have attached a photo of rose in Joe's sound long island with her screens in.

Polaris is a 1978 Model P35

in Marathon, FL

She's a 1978 P35 standard sloop rig.  She is in good condition.
new rigging and sails.  The po's boy friend is a cabinet maker the boat has an entertainment center/nav station with pull out chart table that is nicely done.  All the wood veneer has been replaced with white Formica the teak trim remains.  The po completed the Mexico race last year hence the new radar and single side band.

Great Interior Looks.  Very nice job Bill & Sandra.

Nov 04 Update on Exterior Work

Nice work facility Bill

Updates on 15 Feb 05

Bill's hard at work installing a sweet little generator on the Starboard side.

It's a next generation power 3.5kw.  It has a 5kw end on it but sustains 3.5 at the designed operating speed.  Runs a 16,000 btu a/c and a microwave at the same time. the engine and genny are seperate units connected via gilmer type belt. It is very economical 1cyl kubota and about the size of two 8d batteries and 160 lb's.

I have attached photos of the generator installation in progress. I had to remove the genny from the enclosure so it would fit through the lazzerette. I built a bed where the original water heater was out of three quarter exterior ply. Then I epoxied it all and screwed to the bulkhead. I glassed in the aft end to the hull.I painted it all with easypoxy. I jigged up the enclosure pan under the lazzerette opening then swung the boom over the dock and lifted the jenny. After swinging back over the lazzerette the genny was lowered onto the pan and bolted to the mounts. The assembly then had to be slid forward to the bed and bolted down.

Updates on 16 Feb 05

Bill has outdone himself with this fine stern equipment support.

Bill is spending a cold Christmas 2005 in the Bahamas

Bill I have attached some photos of the boat in the Bahamas.
We are currently at rum cay and will be sailing for the Turks
and caicos with the next weather window. The generator and
all equipment are working well.

Happy Holidays

Bill Hunnicutt
