The frig/frez
is just that. Six inches of foam on the sides and bottom, three
inches on top. It has an Waco Adler Barber unit in the frez
compartment with a two inch foam partition between it and the frig.
It uses the "spill over" method to cool the frig and works like a
charm. We make our own ice and are able to frez and keep food
frozen. Run time with full boxes is about 15-20 minutes per hour.
Forward to the settee. I was never happy with the pull out
arrangement and the drawers for storage. So I did away with the
upper berth, got much more storage, a handy shelf and a comfortable
berth that doesn't pull out to block the cabin. I did a similar
thing on the port side, sorry that I get in the way. I didn't care
for the right angle of the seat back so while I was tearing things
part I moved the settee out about four inches. This enabled me to
angle the bottom of the seat back out four inches and leave the top
of the back where it was. Result is more storage, another shelf, TV,
VCR and printer (the TV ties into place while underway) and another
comfortable place to sit. This side isn't finished yet, the under
deck trim is in the works. Lastly the table. I made a double drop
leaf table with two pedestal base. I move the base to port about
three inches and used drafting table hinges, three different angles
for more comfortable use of the laptop, on the port side. One more
item, the ceilings are white cedar and are used in the forward cabin
also.

I can't believe that in two years your boat will
be 40 years old!
Paul, one word comes to mind after looking at
your boat...Cruisers!
I am seeing a lot of boats heading South on the
ICW now.
