Michael,
great action picture. What a nice looking boat. So tell us
how you made those starboard windows look so good? Hard to believe
that this boat is 34 years old! Great job Michael.
The DI race is a race from the northern end of Mobile Bay
to Dauphin Island, AL. on the south end , I think it's about 20 miles long
with about 300 boats. There is a BIG party on the island that night . They
also had a trophy presentation that night, I got 1st place in my fleet.
I've done almost all the work on my boat with a lot of expert
advice. I purchased the Pearson 35 after hurricane Gorges hit Mobile
and sank my Catalina 27 that I had for about 16 yrs. The Pearson came
along about 6 months after that. It had some damage but I thought I could
fix it with the money I got from the Catalina. After 3yrs that plan
didn't work out..
You asked about the windows, It is hot down here
in the summer so when I got a real good deal on some new ports, I decided
to replace them. I removed the old ones, glassed up the holes and
re-cut them so the new ports would fit. They sure do make a big difference
on the inside cabin temp. All ten ports open. |
