Update 8 April 2008:  Jim's Holding Tank Install

As is the theme on many other of these owner's pages the list of what needs to be done is long.  Much of the still-original equipment needs upgrading.  We replaced the original pressure alcohol stove with an Origo stove/oven combination. We like the safety of non-pressurized alcohol and it fits well with our largely weekend use of the boat.  Next is a real holding tank (only had a mock, unusable one) and all new plumbing, including all new thru-hulls so that we can at least weekend confidently with the boat this summer. (Also cutting down the number of thru-hulls to only two, and glassing over the old holes!)  Before launch in the spring comes rebedding all the portlights, new cutlass bearing and new centerboard cable.  For the summer we'll concentrate on sailing her and getting to know her ways, and after that interior refinishing, rigging, sails, instruments, wiring, awlgrip on the topsides, etc. etc. etc.   Luckily the Atomic 4 seems to be sound.  We know and like A4's and will stick with it since we only expect to be using her as a coastal cruiser.

Thanks Jim for giving us a look at Northstar.
