I thought I’d pass along the attached photo of my Calypso docking at Nantucket. The picture was taken by the Figawi Race photographer after our Hyannis to Nantucket regatta Memorial Day weekend of 2003. It was a cold and drab weekend with much rain. Fortunately this year’s the weather was just about perfect. The Hyannis Yacht Club does a great job hosting this event every year.

     The Figawi (As in “where the _____ are we”) is Cape Cod’s big sailing kick-off regatta of the season. We had over 220 boats this year. Calypso acquitted herself quite well placing second in her 15 boat division on the race to Nantucket and first in the return race to Hyannis. (Significantly less boats do the return race, but among the boats in the return race was the victor of the Hyannis to Nantucket race.
